We had a wonderful day yesterday with Dana & Carlo from Minnesota. A day spent exchanging news and views on everything and of course a 3 course lunch accompanied with wines from the Loire.
A glass of Chateau de Pintray’s Extra Brut was our aperitif accompanied by a couple of crispy gougères straight from the oven.
Roasted cod with waxy new potatoes, cherry tomatoes, rosemary and white wine followed which we accompanied with Florent Baumard’s Savennieres.

An oozy couronne Lochoise, aged Beaufort and Livarot made up the cheese course and then a homemade rhubarb clafoutis which went went with both the Savennieres and a lovely light spicy Grolleau from Chateau de Breuil.
