Nigel is pruning a parcel of Chenin Blanc in the Vouvray appellation again this year.
Many vineyards have water sitting in between the vines at the moment. Not the case with the vineyard Nigel is pruning as the soil has been worked and is more free draining than some of those around him. That said, it’s a muddy business at the moment!
Here’s a little video I took last week showing him pruning a vine while I explained what was going on. I showed it during my lastest Zoom update but I don’t think the sound was working.
