Pithon Paillé’s former domaine under new owner Ivan Massonnat will be called Domaine Bel Argus, so named after the tiny rare blue butterfly that can be found among the vines of Les Treilles.
It looks like we are likely to see lots of changes. Ivan Massonnat has put together a new dynamic team mixing old and young. There’s to be much investment, primarily in the vineyards but also to renovate an old property in the appellation of Savennières which will serve as a chai for ageing and for receiving visitors. The estate is working towards bio-dynamic certification in all its vineyards.
