A perfect example of a high quality Chenin Blanc that just seems to get better with age.
2014 is one of our favourite vintages. Not too hot during the summer with quite a bit of rain, late sunshine in August and September led to a surprisingly successful vintage with high quality wines.
Peu Morier is a single parcel wine that’s located between the villages of Vernou sur Brenne and Vouvray. These are old vines (around 60 years) and there’s a fair bit of clay and flint in the soil.
9 years on and it’s tasting just delicious. Beautiful aromas of honey and quince on the nose. Herbs and white flowers and a delightful palate that’s fresh and balanced with fine acidity and a long lingering finish.
Chenin really is an amazing grape that changes over time but delivers beautiful elegant wines that are capable of long term ageing.
