Can you believe it? Once again the temperatures dipped below zero in the early hours of this morning around Vouvray.
It’s VERY localised so impossible to generalise. Closer to the edge of the coteau (limestone hillside) it was slightly milder but up on the plateau it sunk to around minus 1.
More fires were lit overnight to try and protect the vines.
The damage is easy to see. More reports to follow as we get a really accurate picture of what’s going on this year.
