We had a walk around the Vouvray vineyards this morning to take a look at potential frost damage.
It’s still a bit early to asses the level of damage and it seems to be very parcel specific but there is damage visible in the vineyards. In some parcels I would estimate around 20% damage and in some up to 50%. Other buds remain tight, probably on those vines that were pruned at the last moment.
The weather leading us into May looks to be mild although next week we anticipate rain so growers will be out spraying in the next few days.
