A 2 hour presentation of a selection of Loire valley wines accompanied by a selection of French cheeses, charcuterie, cornichons, nuts, delicious salty butter and tons of crusty bread.
Every Sunday & Monday during July & August from 6.30pm until 8.30pm in the private dining room of Amboise’s best known bistro, Chez Bruno.

My picture today is of what we call a ‘tow and blow’ machine. One of the many tools used by winemakers to fight frost here in the Loire.
This is a lovely summer salad. Make it when all the ingredients are tasting at their best and it’s hard to beat on a hot day in the garden.
Yesterday we drove into Tours to collect some paint that we’d ordered and took the opportunity to pop into Les Halles to buy some cheese for the week.
It’s a while since we caught up with Jean-Francois Mérieau. We’re big fans of his wines and are really excited he’s now only half an hour away from us.
As the second week of harvest draws to a close here in the Vouvray appellation, most grapes have been safely gathered in.
The large red table that gives its name to the domaine, nestles among the ancient vines jostling alongside fruit trees and wild flowers, herbs and vegetables.
