3 weeks after moving in, we’re finally beginning to make some progress. The cardboard boxes are unpacked and Nigel has nearly finished decorating the Salon and Tasting Room.
It’s been a shock to be living in such a warm and cosy house after the house in Cumeray which was a chilly one by comparison. The wood burning stove is a Belgian brand called Stuv and is ferociously efficient. My cupboard full of thick wooly jumpers is a bit redundant in the evening as once the fire is lit, we can stroll around in the lightest shirt! This calls for a little shopping I feel.
We’re making new contacts and meeting new people locally. So many places to visit and discover in this busier part of the Loire.
