There’s a lovely spot in the garden that’s giving us real pleasure at the moment. By the border under the tilleuil tree, there’s a border.

Leaving it until the very last moment, I finally managed to sort out our tax declaration this morning with the help of our accountant about 8 hours before the deadline.

Off to Tours this morning to replenish the cheese and collect paint. Our decorating endeavours came to a temporary halt a few weeks ago.

I had the best night’s sleep last night. Was it due to the fact that I got up at half five yesterday morning? Was it the 6km walk through the vineyards?

Up early. Tea downstairs in the ‘big red’ (as my dressing gown is affectionately known). Sourdough in the oven. Back upstairs to get dressed.

An early start today. Might have something to do with the fact that we had no wine last night and therefore an early night.

Feeling full of beans and ready to go this morning. I have lots to do for our new collaboration with Chateau de Montdomaine.

Sourdough toast and honey for breakfast today, then off to the shops. I’ve taken to wearing my mask now when I go shopping (thanks Juliette).
