One of the signs of spring that we look out for is the beautiful wisteria that grows all over the Loire valley. It’s generally out in time for my birthday!
Wine education – focus on the Vouvray appellation
It seems pertinent, having moved to a small village that falls within the geographical boundaries of the Vouvray appellation, to have a closer look.

Salon des Vins de Loire – tasting with Peter and Juliette Hahn
Beautifully crafted artisanal wines made with practically zero intervention in the vineyard or winery. And what’s more, now we are practically neighbours!

We’re big fans of Arnaud Lambert’s wines. Last night we enjoyed a bottle of his top red, Clos de l’Etoile 2010 which is a Cabernet Franc from the Saumur appellation.
