Scrumptious desserts and a new bed and breakfast in the Loire

scrumptious desserts

A scrumptious end to a wonderful Sunday lunch in the garden with local friends here in the Loire yesterday. Layers of freshly cut new season’s strawberries, crushed meringue, marscapone, rosewater, pomegranate seeds and a lovely quenelle of fresh strawberry sorbet all dusted with rose petals. Beautiful to look at and a delicious end to the meal.

I can’t give you exact recipe but you’ll be able to try this dessert for yourself as our friends are converting a rather splendid 15th century manor into a new bed and breakfast just 10 minutes down the road from us here at le tasting room. 3 rooms with beautiful en-suite facilities nestling among the vineyards next to one of our favourite growers in the region.

I’ll keep you posted with more news and when it opens later in the year we hope to see you here for a short break at the Manoir de Jouralem.
