We had a fabulous trip in June this year (2012) with both of you and the gite you booked us into which was part of a chateau was fantastic – views overlooking the Loire river to die for. Michael’s early morning catch phrase was ‘done it again… woken up in heaven’!!
The wine tasting/vineyard trips were so enjoyable, entertaining and informative starting with the session and wonderful lunch at your place and ending with lunch in the lovely little bistro on the road to Saumur. We loved all of it.
We have had our own wine tasting sessions now we are experts and Michael is stll impersonating Monsieur Domaine de la Chevalerie! That day was so good and the underground wine cellars very impressive and historic.
We have realised that the wines we bought back are considerably better than our normal ‘vintage plonk’ especially the Rosé d’Anjou which we would never have bought had we not tried it.
All in all a wonderful fun filled informative trip and if anyone reading this is wondering if it’s for them…. yes it is, you’ll love it!
