Tomorrow starts a crazy few days of wine tasting here in the Loire valley.
Antoine carefully removed the cork and checked the wine. It was perfect – a beautiful golden colour but still crystal clear gleaming in the glass.
The first real chance to get a handle on the current vintage is at the annual trade tastings which happen at the end of January beginning of February each year.
Sometimes you find a small family run domaine that makes wines that tick all the boxes. Leduc Frouin falls into this category – the wines are great value for money, the welcome at the domaine is always warm, it’s run by a tight family unit of brother, sister and mum and the wines are always reliable, pure, well made.
