All of our Loire wine day tours are available as day trips from Paris. Hop on the TGV and you can be in the heart of the Loire countryside in just an hour and a half.  And why not make a short break of it and stay overnight in Angers.  It's a lively city with a lovely pedestrianised centre, wonderful chateau and a great choice of restaurants. Take the opportunity to spend a little time exploring while you are here in the Loire valley and experience a little of la douceur Angevine.

The metro system in Paris is quick and efficient but if you are worried about getting to the station in time in the morning then we can recommend Greg of Chauffeur Services www.chauffeurs-services.com.  He speaks good English and can pick you up/drop you off at your hotel giving you peace of mind and a comfortable journey.  If you are planning a short break then he can also drive you directly from Paris to the Loire valley (around 3 hours).

• Trains run from Paris Montparnasse to Angers St Laud regularly throughout the day. The O7h52 gets into Angers at 09h24 and in the evening there is a train that leaves at 17h40 that will have you back in Paris in good time for dinner.
• The earlier you book your trains, the cheaper the tickets will be.  Buy them on-line 3 months in advance and you will get the best prices.  Prems are the best value but are not exchangeable so if you have any doubts about your travel plans it's best to choose a 'loisir' ticket.
• By booking on-line you can choose an e-ticket that you print off yourself. These tickets do not need composting at the station so you can just hop straight on the train.
• At Montparnasse station look for your TGV number (shown on your ticket) on the departures board.  Trains coming to Angers are often going on to Nantes so this is what you may see. The platform (voie) is generally shown 20 minutes before departure.
• Each passenger has an allocated carriage and seat number (shown on your ticket). Carriage numbers are shown on the outside of the train by the doors.
