Le Tasting Room

Many wineries close their doors to the public at the end of October but it's business as usual for le tasting room so if you are in Paris and fancy a day out in the beautiful Loire countryside learning all about our fabulous wines then hop on the direct TGV service from Montparnasse and we can have you sitting with a glass of something delicious by 10am

• Once you have booked a day with us, buy your rail tickets in advance on-line at www.sncf.com - the earlier you book the cheaper they are so it pays to think ahead if you can.  Choose an e-billet (an e-ticket) which means that you can print the ticket out yourself and it does not need composting at the station.

• For Monday to Saturday tours - book the 08h00 train from PARIS Montparnasse 1 & 2 which gets into ANGERS St Laud at 09h30.  For the return journey book the 17h38 from ANGERS back to PARIS.

• For Sunday tours book the 06h50 from PARIS Montparnasse 1 & 2 to SAUMUR (there is a change at St Pierre des Corps) which arrives in SAUMUR at 08h55.  For the return journey book the 17h38 from ANGERS as for the Monday to Saturday tours.

• We will collect you from the station and bring you back to le tasting room where we'll spend the morning tasting a range of wines from all over the Loire valley.

• You can relax and enjoy a home-made lunch prepared by Cathy - something hot and comforting when the weather is chilly, a great cheeseboard and something sweet to finish. All accompanied by wines of the region.

• After lunch we'll take you to see Chateau de Pimpéan in Grezillé. This historic monument built in 1435 is surrounded by 14 hectares of vines.  Here you'll have the chance to look around the chateau, walk in the vines and taste the wine.  Be sure to wear something warm.
