Why not hop on the TGV from Montparnasse to Angers and take the opportunity to indulge in a one day Loire wine tour with le tasting room. Trains can get you into the heart of France's most important white wine producing region in less than an hour and a half.
- We'll pick you up from Angers St Laud station just after 09h00.
- Within 15 minutes we'll be in the heart of Savennières - one of the most prestigious appellations in the Loire valley. Here you'll discover elegant white wines from the Chenin Blanc grape.
- After a tour and tasting with one or two producers, we'll take you to le tasting room where you can relax and enjoy a traditional lunch in the comfort of our 18th century barrel cellar. This typically includes a selection of charcuterie, cheeses, salads, fresh bread from the boulangerie and a delicious dessert.
- In the afternoon we'll head off to the Coteaux du Layon, home to some of France's finest sweet wines for a tour and tasting. Alternatively, if you're more into reds, we'll take you to Brissac-Quincé, a pretty market town with a beautiful chateau and home to some great Cabernet Francs.
- Return to Angers St Laud in time to catch an early evening train back to Paris.
Price: 110€ per person (2-6 people).
