Beautiful, beautiful spring weather this weekend in the Loire. Full sunshine and temperatures of around 17° made it feel like early summer. Just delightful to be pottering around the vineyards in Vouvray before picking up some bottles from Bernard Fouquet.
The better growers hold off pruning as late as they can and we saw much evidence of this in the vines perched up on the plateau above the village.
